Welcome & Hello to Rancho de' Suenos. We are located in central
California which is a short distance from Yosemite National Park. We
have a nice little "OLE Rancho" that is filled with all types of
critters.
One of my main joy was having my AKC 16 year old Dane (Sampson Sir
Riley) live with me for 16 years. He passed on March 28, 2003, and is
waiting for me to join him.
We had shown our Deeply Loved Great Dane Int/Nat CH "Sir Samuel de
Suenos" who has finished his title and is retired from the show ring. We
fondly call him "Big Sam." Sam was subjected to a severe spine injury by
a Veterinarian and his staff while under going an OFA Hip X-ray. The
injury is so severe he has to be treated medically for the rest of his
life. Due to this injury we Gravely REGRET we had to retire him from the
show Ring or Stud Service. It was decided after consultations with
"Great Dane " Veterinarians that he is not able to be physically bred or
AI. We appreciate all of the inquiries regarding Sam as for use for his
Stud Service or for puppies from Sam.
We don't breed often as my joy is in the training and showing. When we
do breed, we breed for the Best Health, Temperament, Confirmation, Good
Bone with Substance and Strong Smooth Movement.
We know health testing is very important to a reputable breeding
program. We will only take of our Dogs to be tested at UC Davis or
Veterinarians who specialize in fully sedately the large breeds. (It is
a plus if they themselves own Great Danes)
A "Vet" who will work closely with the owners who know their dog best &
who document their health records and most of all CARE about the animals
welfare before being released from their Clinic.
Nat/Int CH "Winterlochen Divine Dream" is living out retirement on the
rancho.
“JGD Dreamers King Drako” from our own Nat/Int CH Winterlochen Divine
Dream AKA "Dreamer" has been fully health tested and has received his
CHIC number. Dreamer his Mother is known for her movement and
soundness/health along with her sweet disposition! Drako inherited that
from his Mom along with the good looks, good health, bone, movement and
personality of his father "AM CH Wolke's Just Joey."
Our Int/Nat CH Gilhams JGD Mystic in Motion, "Misty" & Int/Nat CH “Wolke’s
JGD Incandescent Day’la” (Chic #) who are very much Loved are living the
good life in retirement!!
Our Up and coming Star Bitch is "Katcrews Big Blonde and Beautiful of
JGD" AKA "Lovie" named after my late departed beloved mother. Her father
"AM CH Double D Daynakin Party Brew" AKA "Brew" is in the Top Ratings of
Great Danes in our Nation.
Her mother is AM CH Alpine's Got da Fever V Catcrew. I am honored to
have her as my own and for her to be shown here in California. I love
her deeply and she knows it. Lovie's name fit's her as she is "Big Blond
and Beautiful" and just full of "LOVE".
We are excited to be training for the show ring "Keyon's JGD
Legend's Day of Reckoning" for Dr.Keyon. "Legend" is from "AM CH
Vincere's Consigliori AKA: Kai. We are looking forward to his debut &
Career in the show ring.
AM Int/Nat CH Fyrehouse JGD Smokin’ Cinder (Dalmatian) finished as her
name states "Smokin" Winning consistently her five last shows! She went
Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex! "Cinder" finished her American
Championship with limited showing! She is everything a Dalmatian should
be! Bred by Eleanor Winters of "Fyrehouse Dalmatians" Trained and loved

BISS CH DAISYDOT CHECKERED FLAG AKA "Desoto"
Just as Cinder was "Smokin" in the Ring" her prodigy is following her in
the "Smokin" Tradition." Four of the eight pups are being shown.
Excitingly on their first days out showing they won 4 point majors. They
are all almost finished at 9 months!
They are Smokin!
I have been involved in animals all of my life having been raised on a
ranch in California with Danes, Dobermans, German Shepherds, horses,
pigs and all farm life. From working on a large horse operation to
assisting vets, I have had a lot of hands-on experience with all types
of animals.
I was showing Dobermans back in the 1980's until entering Law
Enforcement which unfortunately demanded all of my time. After being
injured in the line of duty, I have been forced to retire. Now with
extra time on my hands what better to do but, Train & Show quality Great
Danes.
We love our Danes. They are like our children and share everything with
us. There are times, though, that we have difficulty finding sitting
room in the living area of our home as all the couches are taken (by our
Danes of course!).
We show conformation & train for basic obedience. We help rescue & help
place dogs.
When we do breed it is for a breeding that is with a lot of forethought.
Breeding for health, confirmation, and longevity is of great
importance to us. We are active in health testing. With breeding comes a
Big Responsibility. Any one who breeds should only for betterment of
the next generation of Healthy Purebred Dogs. Breeding Quality not
Quantity.
With our puppies comes a strict contract as we keep in contact for the
life of the animal placed. Finding the 'Right Puppy' for you & your
family should be a long hard thought process. They are not just a toy or
to be disposed when no longer wanted but, be a life time commitment not
to be taken lightly. We have a puppy questionnaire that has to be filled
out by all inquirers. A contract if approved. Please note the importance
of finding the right home for the animal is first for us. We do not
breed unless we have something that is what we feel is an outstanding
example for the breed so please take in consideration we will not have
puppies available all the time but, we can direct you to
respectful/responsible breeders.
We not only care where they go but, how they are cared for their entire
lives. All puppies have their dew-claws removed, receive age-appropriate
shots and are wormed. All of our puppies are vet-checked before leaving
our home. We crop our Great Danes ears and this is optional for puppy
buyers if they desire cropped or to be left natural. We "imprint" all of
our animals starting at an early age, resulting in the puppies being
used to all the new things in life such as children, noise, touch, etc.
We also inform all new owners of the feeding requirements of the Great
Dane and work closely with the buyer throughout the life of the dog.
Responsibility is required with such a noble, loving breed. We breed
only to achieve the Correct Dane; Health, Confirmation,Temperment and
Longevity in the pedigree.
Feeding and proper care for a Dane is vitally important. I did use herbs
and natural supplements to attain Sam's 16 years! He received massage
therapy and essential oils. We must be doing something right as we also
had our year old Quarter/Morgan horse "Chico" for 42 years. Our 17 year
old AKC Doberman Spayed Bitch that was whelped from a breeding I did
from my bitch "Romarhaven First Star" (call name - Precious). (JD my 17
year old Dobie bitch passed on Sept 14, 2004)
We train and handle (showing) all breeds. Specializing in Great Danes,
Dalmatians & Pomeranians. We train for Confirmation Shows and for home
obedience along with being available for private lessons. Training is
vital. It is important to have a well trained socialized animal as well
as it being well bred for confirmation and health.
The list goes on for our older critters here at the rancho. We love each
and every one of them and it shows! Throughout the years I have been
fondly called Miss Ellymay. Love is in abundance at our ranch and you
can see it through all of our creatures we have been blessed to have.
Sincerely, Jolene and Ranch Staff, The Dane Posse "JGD Great Danes",
The Dalmatian Gang JGD Dalmatians (Fyrehouse)
