Hello, we are located in central California which is a short distance
from Yosemite National Park. We have a nice little "ole rancho" that is
filled with all types of critters.
One of my main joy was having my AKC 16 year old Dane (Sampson Sir
Riley) live with me for 16 years. He passed on to wait for me to join
him, March 28, 2003.
We currently showed our Dane Nat/Int CH "Sir Samuel de Suenos" who has
finished his title and is retired from the show ring along with Nat/Int
CH "Winterlochen Divine Dream." We are consistently winning in the show
rings in California. Our Up and coming Star Bitch and Dog are “ JGD
Dreamers Queen Dre’na” and “JGD Dreamers King Drako” who are both from
our own Nat/Int CH Winterlochen Divine Dream aka "Dreamer." Dreamer is
known for her movement and soundness along with her sweet disposition! I
train all of our Show Danes and also train for others. Nat/Int CH
Gilhams JGD Mystic in Motion, "Misty" and Int/CH “Wolke’s JGD
Incandescent Day’la” are two of our other winning Great Dane bitches.
AM Int/Nat CH Fyrehouse JGD Smokin’ Cinder (Dalmatian) finished as her
name states "Smokin" Winning consistently her five last shows! She went
Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex! "Cinder" finished her American
Championship with limited showing! She is everything a Dalmatian should
be! Bred by Eleanor Winters of Fyrehouse Dalmatians and Trained and
loved by myself Jolene of Fyrehouse JGD Dalmatians.
Watch in the ring for Int/CH "Backachers Fast N Furious" (Falco) &
INT/CH “Leelands JGD Law N’ Order” (Justice) our German Shepherds.
I have been involved in animals all of my life having been raised on a
ranch in California with Danes, Dobermans, German Shepherds, horses,
pigs and all farm life. From working on a large horse operation to
assisting vets, I have had a lot of hands-on experience with all types
of animals.
I was showing Dobermans back in the 1980’s until entering law
enforcement which, unfortunately, demanded all of my time. After being
injured in the line of duty, I have been forced to medically retire.
Now, with extra time on my hands what better to do than show and raise
high quality Great Danes.
We love our Danes. They are our children and share everything with us.
There are times, though, that we have difficulty finding sitting room in
the living area of our home as all the couches are taken (by our Danes
of course!).
We do have a strict contract that covers the placing of our puppies. We
not only care where they go but, how they are cared for their entire
lives. All puppies have their dew-claws removed, receive age-appropriate
shots and are wormed by a licensed veterinarian/tech. All of our puppies
are vet-checked before leaving our home. We crop our Great Danes ears
and this is optional for puppy buyers if they desire cropped or to be
left natural. We "imprint" all of our animals starting at an early age,
resulting in the puppies being used to all the new things in life such
as children, noise, touch, etc.
We also inform all new owners of the feeding requirements of the Great
Dane and work closely with the buyer throughout the life of the dog.
Responsibility is required with such a noble, loving breed. We breed
only to achieve the correct Dane; Health, Confirmation and Temperament
and longevity in the pedigree. Feeding and proper care for a Dane is
vitally important. I did use herbs and natural supplements to attain
Sam's 16 years! He received massage therapy and essential oils. We must
be doing something right as we also have a 42 year old Quarter/Morgan
horse "Chico" and a 17 year old AKC Doberman Spayed Bitch that was
whelped from a breeding I did from my bitch "Romarhaven First Star"
(call name - Precious). (JD my 17 year old Dobie bitch passed on Sept
14, 2004)
We train and handle (showing) all breeds. Specializing in Great Danes,
Dalmatians, German Shepherds, Dobermans and Pomeranians. We train for
Confirmation Shows and for home obedience along with being available for
private lessons. Training is vital. It is important to have a well
trained socialized animal as well as it being well bred for confirmation
and health.
The list goes on for our older critters here at the rancho. We love each
and everyone of them and it shows! Throughout the years I have
been fondly called Miss Ellymay. Love is in abundance at our ranch and
you can see it through all of our creatures we have been blessed to
have.
Sincerely, Jolene and Staff, The Dalmatian Gang, The Dane Posse and The
German Shepherd Squad, JGD Great Danes, (Fyrehouse) JGD Dalmatians, JGD
German Shepherds.
